Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in Brussels held the auction Belgian and contemporary art, which included the work Cathédrale by Rémy van den Abeele. The price achieved of EUR 1,664.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rémy van den Abeele have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evasion in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,594.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Brüssel die Auktion Belgian and contemporary art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cathédrale von Rémy van den Abeele zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.664,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rémy van den Abeele auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evasion im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.594,93).
