Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Amelia Priestman by Rembrandt Peale was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman auction at Christies in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,749.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rembrandt Peale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Equestrian Portrait of George Washington in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 1,071,500.00 (€ 791,475.85).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Amelia Priestman von Rembrandt Peale wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman bei Christies in New York versteigert.
