Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Silver birches in a marsh landscape signed 'Reginald Jones', (lower right) pencil and watercolour by Reginald T. Jones for GBP 120.00 (€ 178.10). This price was achieved in the auction The Sunday Sale - Property Removed From a Scottish Fishing Lodge and a Sussex Country House at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Reginald T. Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Brompton Road, Knightsbridge in February 2000 with an auction result of GBP 483.00 (€ 790.39).
