A top price for Reginald Daniel Sherrin - as previously expected
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work A Glorious Flowerbed by Reginald Daniel Sherrin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.00 (€ 447.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Glorious Flowerbed is the most expensive artwork by Reginald Daniel Sherrin that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Glorious Flowerbed von Reginald Daniel Sherrin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 312,00 (€ 447,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A Glorious Flowerbed das teuerste Kunstwerk von Reginald Daniel Sherrin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
