Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Third Watcher by Reg Butler was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,587.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Reg Butler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Standing in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Third Watcher von Reg Butler wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.587,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reg Butler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Standing im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 183.044,74).
