Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl on a Round Base by Reg Butler was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 37,346.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Reg Butler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Standing in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Girl on a Round Base von Reg Butler wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 37.346,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reg Butler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Standing im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 183.044,74).
