Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art 1, which included the work Les Affiches De La Basse-Corniche A Villefranche A/Mer, 1991 by Raymond Hains. The price achieved of EUR 27,131.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raymond Hains achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre, 1967 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 334,584.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art 1 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Affiches De La Basse-Corniche A Villefranche A/Mer, 1991 von Raymond Hains zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 27.131,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raymond Hains erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1967 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 334.584,00.
