Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Raymond Hains was sold in the Art Contemporain Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. It changed hands for a price of EUR 138,600.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raymond Hains - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, 1967, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 334,584.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition von Raymond Hains wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Art Contemporain Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 138.600,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Raymond Hains mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1967 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 334.584,00 versteigert wurde.
