Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Young Couple by Ray Crooke was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. It changed hands for a price of AUD 4,674.00 (€ 2,801.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ray Crooke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian The Shell in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 72,000.00 (€ 43,561.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Young Couple von Ray Crooke wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 4.674,00 (€ 2.801,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ray Crooke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian The Shell im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 72.000,00 (€ 43.561,66).
