A top price for Ray Crooke
In April 2008 Sothebys in Sydney held the auction Important Paintings, which included the work Australian The Shell by Ray Crooke. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 72,000.00 (€ 43,561.66). With this result, Australian The Shell is even the most expensive work of art by Ray Crooke that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Sydney die Auktion Important Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian The Shell von Ray Crooke zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 72.000,00 (€ 43.561,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Australian The Shell sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ray Crooke, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
