In the FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE auction, the work Lilacs and Roses sold for USD 11,750.00 (€ 13,571.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raoul Maucherat de Longpre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, Cream; and Roses and White Lilacs on a Ledge: two works, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 28,200.00 (€ 33,231.20).
