Sold at the upper estimate price
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A still life with a violin by Raoul Martinez. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raoul Martinez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waalseilandgracht, which sold at auction in October 2003 for EUR 4,780.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with a violin von Raoul Martinez zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Raoul Martinez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waalseilandgracht beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für EUR 4.780,00 versteigert wurde.
