Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2018 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Art du XXe siècle, which included the work Marchands Au Bord Du Canal De Suez by Raoul du Gardier. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,240.00. Admittedly, works by Raoul du Gardier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Départ Pour Une Croisière Sur La Mer in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 57,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Art du XXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marchands Au Bord Du Canal De Suez von Raoul du Gardier zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.240,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raoul du Gardier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Départ Pour Une Croisière Sur La Mer im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 57.600,00.
