Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Rao Zongyi. The price achieved of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rao Zongyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auspicious Flowers and Fruits in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 8,040,000.00 (€ 894,338.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Rao Zongyi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rao Zongyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auspicious Flowers and Fruits im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.040.000,00 (€ 894.338,64).
