Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Nine Polaroids by Rankin for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,819.92). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rankin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suspended Kate In Colour, 1999 in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,563.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nine Polaroids von Rankin für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.819,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rankin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suspended Kate In Colour, 1999 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.563,10).
