Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Madonna by Rankin was sold in the BelovedPhotographs Online auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2020. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,312.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rankin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suspended Kate In Colour, 1999 in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,563.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Madonna von Rankin wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion BelovedPhotographs Online bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.312,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rankin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suspended Kate In Colour, 1999 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.563,10).
