Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nine Polaroids by Rankin was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,229.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rankin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Suspended Kate In Colour, 1999 in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,563.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nine Polaroids von Rankin kam im November 2018 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.229,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rankin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Suspended Kate In Colour, 1999 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.563,10).
