Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Spanish la Cochera (The Coach House) by Ramón Casas for GBP 230,500.00 (€ 277,375.90). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Ramón Casas have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2012 by the work Spanish julia at GBP 283,250.00 (€ 348,935.26).
