Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Inglesa (The English Lady) by Ramón Casas was sold in the 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 120,500.00 (€ 168,731.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ramón Casas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish julia, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 283,250.00 (€ 348,935.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Inglesa (The English Lady) von Ramón Casas wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 120.500,00 (€ 168.731,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ramón Casas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spanish julia beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 283.250,00 (€ 348.935,26) versteigert wurde.
