In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Las Horas Tristas by Ramón Casas. The price achieved of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 200,519.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Other works by Ramón Casas have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2012 the work Spanish julia was auctioned for GBP 283,250.00 (€ 348,935.26).
