Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Hip Hop, which included the work Bands Of Steel by Rammellzee. The price achieved of USD 35,280.00 (€ 30,107.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rammellzee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Coming of Zee in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 218,144.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Hip Hop durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bands Of Steel von Rammellzee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 30.107,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rammellzee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Coming of Zee im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 218.144,04).
