Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Heading for the derelict by Ralph Reuben Stubbs. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 446.50 (€ 699.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Reuben Stubbs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trafalgar, at the end of the day in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,414.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heading for the derelict von Ralph Reuben Stubbs zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 446,50 (€ 699,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Reuben Stubbs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trafalgar, at the end of the day im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.414,08).
