Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woodland Nymph by Raffaello Romanelli was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 88,200.00 (€ 75,727.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raffaello Romanelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ruth, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 175,000.00 (€ 165,688.32).

Die Arbeit Woodland Nymph von Raffaello Romanelli kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 75.727,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Raffaello Romanelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ruth beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 175.000,00 (€ 165.688,32) versteigert wurde.
