Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italianacquaiola by Raffaello Romanelli was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2011. The price achieved of USD 59,375.00 (€ 44,135.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raffaello Romanelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ruth, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 175,000.00 (€ 165,688.32).

Die Arbeit Italianacquaiola von Raffaello Romanelli wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 59.375,00 (€ 44.135,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Raffaello Romanelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ruth beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 175.000,00 (€ 165.688,32) versteigert wurde.
