Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Monica by Rafael Ferrer was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,434.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rafael Ferrer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nocturno Criollo en Fan Fan's in December 2016 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 21,322.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Monica von Rafael Ferrer im Juli 2010 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.434,69) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rafael Ferrer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nocturno Criollo en Fan Fan's im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 21.322,97).
