Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Three vases by Rachel Woodman for GBP 500.00 (€ 588.20). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Rachel Woodman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bevelled bowl in May last year with an auction result of GBP 2,142.00 (€ 2,519.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Three vases von Rachel Woodman für GBP 500,00 (€ 588,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rachel Woodman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bevelled bowl im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.142,00 (€ 2.519,86).
