Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Christies in London held the auction The George Michael Collection Evening Auction, which included the work Red Painting by Rachel Howard. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,016.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rachel Howard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Painting, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 132,000.00 (€ 86,916.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion The George Michael Collection Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Painting von Rachel Howard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.016,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rachel Howard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Painting beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für USD 132.000,00 (€ 86.916,44) versteigert wurde.
