Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Sotheby's - Rosenthal) by Rachel Harrison was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in September 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,494.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rachel Harrison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Nineties in March last year with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 79,509.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Sotheby's - Rosenthal) von Rachel Harrison wurde im September 2013 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.494,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rachel Harrison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Nineties im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 79.509,60).
