Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Twilight by Reginald Ward Sturgess was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 1,673.00 (€ 977.48). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Reginald Ward Sturgess - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australia three Watercolours By R.W Sturgess And Harold Herbert, which sold at auction in August 2008 for AUD 5,040.00 (€ 2,942.09).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Twilight von Reginald Ward Sturgess kam im Mai 2004 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 1.673,00 (€ 977,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Reginald Ward Sturgess mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australia three Watercolours By R.W Sturgess And Harold Herbert beobachtet, die im August 2008 für AUD 5.040,00 (€ 2.942,09) versteigert wurde.
