It achieved a price of AUD 1,800.00 (€ 1,018.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Reginald Ward Sturgess - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australia three Watercolours By R.W Sturgess And Harold Herbert, which sold at auction in August 2008 for AUD 5,040.00 (€ 2,942.09).
