This artwork by Reginald Ward Sturgess achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in May 2009. In the The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection auction, the work Australian Boats sold for AUD 1,440.00 (€ 814.80) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Reginald Ward Sturgess - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australia three Watercolours By R.W Sturgess And Harold Herbert, which sold at auction in August 2008 for AUD 5,040.00 (€ 2,942.09).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Reginald Ward Sturgess erzielte im Mai 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection wurde die Arbeit Australian Boats für AUD 1.440,00 (€ 814,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 800,00.
