Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishing boats at low tide; and A blustery day on the Dutch coast by R. Mulders was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 223.25 (€ 320.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by R. Mulders - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unloading the catch, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 763.75 (€ 1,096.37).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 223,25 (€ 320,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von R. Mulders mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unloading the catch beobachtet, die im November 2003 für GBP 763,75 (€ 1.096,37) versteigert wurde.
