A top price for Qu Zhaolin
This artwork by Qu Zhaolin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Perching By The Pomegranate sold for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,767.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. This high result makes Perching By The Pomegranate the most expensive artwork by Qu Zhaolin that we have observed at auctions so far.
