Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART & ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work A Couple of Phesants by Qiu Ti. The price achieved of HKD 478,000.00 (€ 48,152.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Ti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work West Lake in Autumn in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 5,300,000.00 (€ 525,518.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART & ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Couple of Phesants von Qiu Ti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 478.000,00 (€ 48.152,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Ti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit West Lake in Autumn im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.300.000,00 (€ 525.518,83).
