Admittedly, works by Qiu Jie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Mao in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,317.83).

Die Arbeit Contemplation of Plum Blossoms, 2010 von Qiu Jie kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.747,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Jie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Mao im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.317,83).
