In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape After Wang Hui by Qin Zuyong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,573.17), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qin Zuyong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Eight Scenic Spots In Guangzhou, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,277.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape After Wang Hui von Qin Zuyong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.573,17) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Qin Zuyong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Eight Scenic Spots In Guangzhou beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.277,23) versteigert wurde.
