This artwork by Qin Bingwen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Wind in the Pines of a Myriad Ravines, after Wang Meng sold for USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,172.18) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qin Bingwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sentiments Inspired by the Mountains, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,354.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qin Bingwen erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Wind in the Pines of a Myriad Ravines, after Wang Meng für USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.172,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qin Bingwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sentiments Inspired by the Mountains beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.354,48) versteigert wurde.
