Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Landscapes And Poems Of Yuan And Ming Masters In Running Script by Qin Bingwen. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,604.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qin Bingwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sentiments Inspired by the Mountains, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,354.48).

Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscapes And Poems Of Yuan And Ming Masters In Running Script von Qin Bingwen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.604,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Qin Bingwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sentiments Inspired by the Mountains beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.354,48) versteigert wurde.
