Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Qian Songyan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Crushing Waves And Fallen Leaves sold for HKD 650,000.00 (€ 71,216.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qian Songyan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 400,044.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Songyan erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Crushing Waves And Fallen Leaves für HKD 650.000,00 (€ 71.216,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Songyan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 400.044,82).
