Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cat And Frog by Qian Shoutie was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,669.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 18,000.00 – 28,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Shoutie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Collection Of Seals Showing The Evolution Of Chinese Characters in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,902.63).

Die Arbeit Cat And Frog von Qian Shoutie wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.669,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 18.000,00 – 28.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Shoutie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Collection Of Seals Showing The Evolution Of Chinese Characters im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 48.902,63).
