This artwork by Qian Mu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Poem In Xingshu sold for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 22,089.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qian Mu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 55,062.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Mu erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 22.089,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qian Mu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 55.062,46) versteigert wurde.
