Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Qian Mu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Calligraphy in Running Script sold for HKD 172,500.00 (€ 16,369.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qian Mu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 55,062.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Mu erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script für HKD 172.500,00 (€ 16.369,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qian Mu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 55.062,46) versteigert wurde.
