Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Seal Script by Qian Daxin was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 3,601.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Qian Daxin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Clerical Script in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 28,033.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script von Qian Daxin wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 3.601,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Daxin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Clerical Script im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 28.033,50).
