Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Couplet In Running Script by Qi Junzao. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,536.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qi Junzao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphic Couplet in Regular Script, which sold at auction in June 2020 for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,768.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script von Qi Junzao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.536,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Qi Junzao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Regular Script beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.768,19) versteigert wurde.
