The work Calligraphy by Qi Junzao was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2014. The result of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,540.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,500.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qi Junzao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphic Couplet in Regular Script in June 2020 with an auction result of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,768.19).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Qi Junzao kam im März 2014 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.540,47) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.500,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qi Junzao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Regular Script im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.768,19).
