Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Qi Gong achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Poem In Running Script sold for HKD 480,000.00 (€ 490,173.91) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Qi Gong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of HKD 5,375,000.00 (€ 568,179.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qi Gong erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem In Running Script für HKD 480.000,00 (€ 490.173,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Qi Gong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script im Mai 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 5.375.000,00 (€ 568.179,02).
