Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Qi Gong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,814.19) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Gong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,375,000.00 (€ 568,179.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qi Gong erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape für USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.814,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Gong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.375.000,00 (€ 568.179,02).
