It achieved a price of HKD 51,000.00 (€ 5,993.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Gong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,375,000.00 (€ 568,179.02).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Qi Gong wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale bei Bonhams versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 51.000,00 (€ 5.993,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Gong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.375.000,00 (€ 568.179,02).
