Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Machine Landscape by Prunella Clough was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 1,047.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Prunella Clough achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishermen with Sprat Nets II in March last year with an auction result of GBP 126,000.00 (€ 149,387.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Machine Landscape von Prunella Clough kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 1.047,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Prunella Clough erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishermen with Sprat Nets II im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 126.000,00 (€ 149.387,18).
