This artwork by Prunella Clough achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Fishermen with Sprat Nets II sold for GBP 126,000.00 (€ 149,387.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. This high result makes Fishermen with Sprat Nets II the most expensive artwork by Prunella Clough that we have observed at auctions so far.
